Looking at familial gesture, motions (or series of motions) have been captured and recontexualized to reveal the existing formal, and not so formal, relationships. The shortest video is one second and ten frames, and the longest hovers around two minutes.
An Infinite Ordered Set of Events forms a part of a body of work entitled You Are a Perpetual Tourist. The videos have been shown in their entirety at my MFA Thesis exhibition in April in Alfred, in Charlotte at the E.H. Little Fine Arts Center in August, and in Beijing at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Video 048 from the series has also been screened at the Loop Video Art Festival '08 in Barcelona.
